A partnership has been created between Quebec’s construction commission (CCQ), Tewatohnhisaktha and the Mohawk Council of Kahnawake to help Kahnawake workers integrate into Quebec’s construction industry. The announcement was made at a press conference at Tewatohnhisaktha this morning. Representatives from each organization were on hand. The working committee was created as part of the Kahnawake Labour Agreement, which saw the MCK and CCQ work together to get Kahnawake workers the skills and qualifications and to integrate into the province’s construction industry. There are no concrete plans as yet, as they are still in discussions.
