K1037 News has learned that former Wrestler and Mohawk Council Chief Billy Two Rivers has filed a lawsuit against Van Morrison and Caroline records for unauthorized use of Two Rivers image on its latest album cover. Caroline records is a subsidiary of Universal music. Two Rivers, in a K1037 news exclusive, told us that he was never asked for the use of his image. The suit was filed in the southern district court in New York late yesterday. Two Rivers discovered that the cover of Van Morrison’s upcoming album, “Roll With the Punches,” features an iconic black and white photograph of himself in a professional wrestling match, with his signature Mohawk hairstyle, hurling his opponent to the mat.
